Toyota has still managed to revive its fate after the damages it faced in the 2011 tsunami. The tsunami and earthquake in 2011 caused extensive widespread devastation which affected car suppliers and production.

Toyota has also been facing reputational issues after a series of recalls and safety issues as more than 14 million vehicles have been recalled since 2009. However, at the end of 2013, Japan’s exports saw their biggest annual rise for three years. Car exports also rose to 31.3% year-on-year, as the Japanese yen saw big falls in value against the dollar. GM sold 9.71 million vehicles last year, while Germany’s Volkswagen came in third with sales of 9.5 million vehicles. Toyota’s leading models have been Lexus and Prius hybrid models. by a good five years of Toyota warranty. The diesel engine model is not only a reasonably priced small car, but also, gratitude goes to its controlled CO2 emissions. The all new Auris is more environment friendly and greener than its predecessor. The Auris hatchback range is revised with new version of Auris Touring Sports, an estate version. Toyota’s intentions were to launch further three models for the year 2013, in last twelve months they launch Auris Hatchback, The Verso and the RAV4, however the all new Auris Touring Sports has been introduced which is an important addition in Toyota’s list of cars and will definitely help Toyota in achieving their goal of selling 100,000 cars in UK in 2013. It has four trim levels and four engine variations to choose from, however the diesel engines are very frugal. Other engines have good performance but they are not as punchy as the diesel engines, the 1.4 litre D-4D engine is a decent performer with smoothness and efficiency. It is a four cylinder engine with 1364cc of displacement and it can generate 90 bhp of power with 151 lb-ft of torque at 1800rpm to 2800 rpm. It works on common rail direct injection fuel delivery to energize the engine for solid combustion. It is an environment friendly engine with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km. It is a swift unit despite of its size that can sprint the vehicle on road from zero to sixty two miles per hour in just under thirteen seconds and leads this rhythm to the top speed of 112 miles per hour. Fuel consumption of Toyota Auris engine is claimed as satisfactory for the city users. It has 47 mpg of fuel economy on the city cycle whereas it delivers over 63 mpg while cruising on the motorway and 56 mpg combined. Auris is an exclusive front wheel drive vehicle that has six speeds manual transmission on 1.4l D-4D diesel variant. Some bad views are also there for the Auris, it’s not that interesting to steer, fine-tuning in fact should be enhanced and the cabin spruce isn’t as elegant as it is in the most excellent small family cars.

It will assist the drivers to steer smoothly into a parking space and then manoeuvre it out from that space again. The system is designed for quick, safe and sensitive manoeuvres while parking. It comes with front and rear parking sensors. This system is more reliable and sophisticated than ever any other system built at Toyota UK. The user friendly options liken “park me out” option help the driver exit a tight parking space by precisely judging the space and clearance from the vehicle at front and on the back side of your Focused vehicle or object. Toyota has reengineered the1.4D-4D diesel engines in Auris by introducing the Start/Stop technology to improve the efficiency of the engine and increase the economy. Resultantly the Auris produces 103gm/km CO2 and improved fuel consumption, on a combined cycle the fuel economy of the Auris is 72.4mpg that contributes towards a better pence-per-mile cost in the UK if we compare it with the others like Focus, Austra, Golf and Hyundai i30 models.
