Toyota Yaris WRC
Toyoda visited the Finland Rally and said about their presence at WRC, he said that Toyota is gearing up for season 2017 WRC with their Yaris.
Toyota is a legendary company in rallying, entered into the Sport in 1979 but left in 1999. They won seven titles in ten years through the nineties with Carlos Sainz and Juha Kankkunen
They are returning to the WRC due to changes in the regulations to allow more power roughly than 300bhp. Now manufacturers can use different engines and fuel flow formula for WRC.
Toyota has played a vital role in changing the regulations but the final slate of the regulations will be announced at the end of this year. Yaris meets the new regulations and the tested power of its 1.6 litre four-cylinder Toyota Yaris engine is same as in rules.
There should be some change before the race ready. TMG will test the yaris for its limits and then it will go to take over the rivals like Volkswagen, Hyundai, CITROEN and Ford M-Sport.
Finally! Toyota has understood that styling is the strongest selling point for any vehicle, so in the third generation of Yaris for 2015, Toyota has given a major renovation to keep its sales bar up for yet another year. It is an entirely remodelled version of Yaris, but just from exterior while technical specifications are almost same as of its predecessors.
Toyota Yaris 2015
Not only is the 2015 Yaris is transforming but it is changing its nationality as well – previously from Japan but now a French Yaris – all the compact and sub compact cars will be designed, engineered, and produced in European branch of Toyota Motors. Everyone knows that European market is crazy for these kinds of vehicles and Toyota Yaris is ensuring that this model will meet the buyer’s needs and Yaris will follow the trend.
The 2015 Yaris is an exclusive compact that keeps several tweaks from its current version, actually the changes are initially cosmetic where the front of the Yaris is very appealing and this time you can’t accuse the Toyota of not being daring because the Yaris is now up to the standards. It’s assertive styling and lower then before grille, makes it more attractive and dynamic.
Several alterations have been made to the chassis and suspension system to further optimise the handling. The engineers vaguely improved the structural firmness by using some advanced bonding agents as an alternative of welding and they also restored the rear suspension by integrating an innovative, stiffer torsion bar. The new Yaris uses the electromechanical steering that offers extra feedback than it did in its predecessors. The objective of all these transformation was to boost the driver’s sentiment of control and safety while sustaining the comfort level on top.

Toyota has still managed to revive its fate after the damages it faced in the 2011 tsunami. The tsunami and earthquake in 2011 caused extensive widespread devastation which affected car suppliers and production.
Toyota has also been facing reputational issues after a series of recalls and safety issues as more than 14 million vehicles have been recalled since 2009. However, at the end of 2013, Japan’s exports saw their biggest annual rise for three years. Car exports also rose to 31.3% year-on-year, as the Japanese yen saw big falls in value against the dollar. GM sold 9.71 million vehicles last year, while Germany’s Volkswagen came in third with sales of 9.5 million vehicles. Toyota’s leading models have been Lexus and Prius hybrid models. Toyota’s sales target for 2014 is 10.32 million which is significant as no carmaker has gone beyond the 10 million mark. The three largest carmakers all had a strong 2013, and the figures are an indication of a healthy global automotive sector.
